Savannah, Georgia

Welcome to Savannah Georgia...

On this trip we looked up Savannah's Famous Family since we are Girls Scouts and all and with it being the Girl Scouts 100 years what better time to visit right? Since we didn't want to leave hubby out we also visited Old Fort Jackson and Fort Pulaski and a few other places in town like the Railroad Museum and a few other interesting places and sites. There was only one place that we went where the Lowe family was not mentioned.
(I have linked the websites of the places we visited  so you can check it out  if the text is blue or some other color then the other text you can click on it )

First stop Juliette Gordon Low's  Birthplace

They had restoration going on and we were not allowed to take pictures on the inside how ever we did purchase postcard that had picture of all the rooms.

Now for sights around Savannah

This 15 1/2 foot statue is located in the center of Madison Square at the corner of Bull and Charlton Streets in Savannah, GA. William Jasper was a hero of the United States of America Revolutionary War.
"To the heroic memory of Sergeant William Jasper, who though mortally wounded rescued the colors of his regiment in the assault on the British lines about this city October 9th, 1779. A century has not dimmed the glory of the Irish American Soldier whose last tribute to the civil liberty was his noble life.
